Recently, in the park of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader and the 50th anniversary of the World Taekwondo Federation, a Masterclass training was held under the leadership of Ilkin Shahbazov, an honored master of sports, two-time European champion, head of the "Umid" Taekwondo Club.

The young athletes prepared for this event prepared under the leadership of vice-presidents of the Azerbaijan Taekwondo Federation, Nagi Safarov and Niyamaddin Pashayev, gave a great performance. Martyrs' families and veterans also participated in the event, along with state organizations and other public representatives. Symbolic gifts were presented to them on behalf of the Federation. This masterclass, held at a high level under the leadership of the honored master of sports, Ilkin Shahbazov, aroused the great interest of tourists who are guests of our city. The performances of the athletes were met with applause.

After the masterclass, the athletes, parents and management of "Umid" Taekwondo Club went to the Alley of Honor and visited the grave of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers.

For your information, we inform you that the 26th Taekwondo World Championship will be held in Baku on May 29-June 4 this year. Up to 3,000 guests are expected to arrive in our capital in connection with this Championship, which is of international importance.

We would also like to mention that Esmanur, a member of the Board of Directors of "International Society of Disabled People", editor of AzTV, and grandson of honored journalist Zarnishan Azayeva, is also a member of "Umid" Taekwondo Club. 9-year-old Esmanur Azayeva, who has won numerous domestic competitions, recently became the only female representative among 7 athletes of the "Umid" Taekwondo Club, who represented our country in the competitions organized by the International training meeting held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. came and won a bronze medal.
